Prof Abubakar Sani Sambo

Professor Abubakar S. Sambo, born on July 31, 1955, in Zaria City, Nigeria, is an accomplished Mechanical Engineer, ‘Officer of the Order of the Niger’ (OON), and recipient of the ‘National Productivity Order Merit’ (NPOM). Appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2018, he serves as a Member of the governing Board of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission (NAEC) representing the North West Zone. Prof. Sambo, a Fellow of COREN, has held various distinguished roles, including a Two-Term Vice-Chancellor of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University and Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria. Recognized for his expertise, he currently contributes to the African Union’s Emerging Technology Committee.
