Ahmad Rufai Zakari
Ahmad Rufai Zakari, born on February 25, 1984, is a Nigerian financial infrastructure expert specializing in power.
Currently serving as the Executive Director of Gas Power Installed Fleet and Services for Nigeria/South Africa General Electric, he played a pivotal role from 2019 to 2023 as the Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Infrastructure. Ahmad began his career at General Electric in 2006 through the Edison Engineering Development Programme, USA, and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming the first African Executive Audit Manager for GE Corporate.
His achievements include overseeing the gas power installation for Nigeria and South Africa, managing over 150 turbines and 8GW of installed capacity.
Notably, in 2019, he was appointed by President Buhari, marking a significant role as one of the few youth aides to the presidency.
