Meet Abubakar Shuaibu, a young change-maker who is leading the charge towards a cleaner and more sustainable future for Africa. As the Founder and CEO of Green Energy Mission Africa, he is actively driving the energy transition agenda in the continent and advocating for climate change.

As a passionate advocate for renewable energy, Abubakar has made a significant impact in the climate and renewable energy space, serving in many organizations dedicated to these causes. He has attended numerous prestigious seminars and conferences, including the YALI Fellowship, Oxford Climate School, United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) and Bonn Climate Change Conference. These opportunities have expanded his knowledge and expertise in these fields.

As a member of several organizations, including the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Renewable Energy Association of Nigeria (REAN), Abubakar is well-connected in the renewable energy industry. He is also closely associated with the Young African Leaders Initiative, Nigerian Society of Engineers, Energy Institute Nigeria, IRENA Youth and YOUNGO/UNFCCC, all of which are dedicated to promoting youth development and driving the agenda for sustainable development.

Currently, as the CEO of Green Energy Mission Africa, Abubakar is empowering African youth to lead the energy transition agenda. He is passionate about encouraging young people to use their ideas, energy, and skills to accelerate the transition to sustainable development and offer innovative solutions.

At only 25 years old, Abubakar has already established himself as a climate change champion and an inspiring role model to many. With his many certifications in renewable energy, he is well-placed to lead the way towards a more sustainable future.
